Bridal makeup at House of Vogue

The Complete Bridal Beauty Timeline

A Nizamabad wedding is not a one-hour makeup slot. The bride is outdoors for the muhurtham, then indoors for the reception, often in heat that melts a look that seemed perfect in an air-conditioned trial room. At House of Vogue we plan the face, the hair, and the skin as one timeline, not as a last-week panic. This is the schedule we actually use with brides who come to the studio beside Vamshi International Hotel.

Six months out: skin, not makeup

Six months out, we do not talk about eyeshadow. We talk about the skin the camera will see. Nizamabad summers are hot and dry, then the monsoon arrives and the skin behaves differently. A bride who starts facials only in the last fortnight is asking makeup to hide a problem that skincare should have solved. The first visit is a look at texture, pigmentation, and how the skin reacts to heat. We write down what we recommend and what it costs. There is no package sprung on you at the desk.

At this stage the work is simple and regular. Cleansing that does not strip, a moisturiser that can survive a day in town, and sunscreen used as a habit rather than a wedding accessory. If there is acne or uneven tone, we space treatments so the skin is calm by the month of the wedding, not inflamed the week before. We would rather do less, earlier, than pile on actives in a rush. You should leave the first appointment knowing the next date, not holding a bag of products you did not ask for.

Three months out: hair and the people around you

Three months out, hair joins the plan. Colour, if you want it, needs time to settle. A smoothing treatment done the week of the wedding is a mistake we will not make: the scalp and the style both need a gap before the big day. We book a hair trial that is not the same afternoon as the makeup trial, so you can see each one clearly. Bring the jewellery you will actually wear, or a close stand-in. Jasmine, a heavy necklace, and a sleek bun do not all behave the same way once you start moving.

This is also when we talk about the people around you. Mothers and sisters often need a look that photographs well beside the bride without competing with her. We schedule those faces on the wedding morning only after the bride's time is protected. A crowded room is how a muhurtham gets delayed. If the venue is outside the city, tell us early. Travel time is part of the plan, not an afterthought on the morning itself.

One month out: the trial that counts

One month out is the full bridal trial. We do the makeup in light closer to the day you will actually have, not only under flattering salon bulbs. If the wedding is in the afternoon sun, we test a finish that will not slide. If the reception is at night, we check how the same face reads under warmer light. You leave with notes: what we used, what we will change, and the price you will pay on the day. The quoted price is the price. We do not add a finishing touch at the end and call it extra.

Photographs are part of this conversation. Temple steps, a bright courtyard, and a reception hall ask different things of highlighter and lipstick. We look at a few reference pictures you love, then we say which parts will work on your face and which parts only work on someone else's bone structure. Copying a reel exactly is how brides end up unrecognisable to their own families. The goal is that you look like yourself, finished.

The week of the wedding

The week of the wedding is for rest, not experiments. No new facial, no new hair colour, no brow tint you have never tried. If a pimple appears, we treat it quietly. We do not sand the skin down two days before photographs. Eat, sleep, and keep the sunscreen. Call us if something on the skin changes. We would rather adjust the plan than discover it at five in the morning on the wedding day.

On the day

On the day, many of our brides get ready at the studio. We also travel when the venue needs us there from the first photograph through the reception. The artist who did the trial is the artist on the day. We start with skin, then eyes, then the mouth, then hair, in an order that lets each layer set before the next. Touch-ups are planned for the gap between ceremony and reception, not left to chance in a car between venues.

What we will not do is sell you a look that only works in a reel. If a trend will not survive a temple step, a hug, or three hours of heat, we say so in the trial. If a relative wants something that fights the bride's face, we explain it once, kindly, and we stick to the plan you approved. Bridal work here is a sequence, not a surprise.

To start, call +91 9705088880 or use the appointment page. The studio is at 1st Floor & 3rd Floor, 5-6-687/6, X Road, above City Union Bank, beside Vamshi International Hotel, Phulong, Nizamabad, Telangana 503003. Tell us the wedding date first. The skin plan, the trials, and the wedding-morning timing all follow from that date. Come in when you still have months, not when you only have a weekend.
